Fantasy

Invest in drivers and earn from their performance.

Your Fantasy allowance

Fantasy is StockGP's flagship mode. Each Grand Prix gives every player a 100-coin Fantasy allowance to invest across any of the 22 driver pools. It is an allowance for that GP, not a wallet balance.

After the race, each driver's share of the total Fantasy points determines how much of the overall pool is allocated to that driver. That allocation is then split among the driver's investors according to their stakes. This is the parimutuel pool model.

How Fantasy scoring works

Every driver gets a finishing position and a starting grid position, even if they do not finish or start. Drivers the official results mark as finishers (classified drivers) follow their official finish order. Retirees (DNF) rank after them by laps completed, with more laps ranking higher. Drivers who do not start (DNS) or are disqualified (DSQ) rank by qualifying position. Finish points and position change use these positions for every driver, with no status-based exceptions. A low finishing position can mean a negative score. Qualifying itself awards no Fantasy points.

Fantasy scoring components
ComponentHow it scores
Finish pointsP1 earns 22 points, then one point less for each place. The minimum is zero.
Position changeStarting grid position minus finishing position: add 1 for each place gained and subtract 1 for each place lost.

For example, a driver starting P15 and finishing P8 earns 15 finish points plus 7 for gaining seven places, for 22 points total. Scores can be negative. A constructor's score is the sum of its two drivers' scores, including negatives.

Before the race

  • Diversify your investments rather than relying on one driver.
  • Look for under-owned drivers whose potential performance may offer value.
  • Check pool totals and projected multipliers before the lock.

Pools lock at the Fantasy lock time. Results may be provisional at first and become final later.
